The Role

Are you passionate about making a difference to young people? The King Edmund School a vibrant and supportive secondary school and we are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. You’ll play a key role in supporting pupils with additional needs, working closely with teachers to help every student thrive. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in a friendly, inclusive environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Provide targeted support to individual pupils or small groups, as directed by the class teacher or SENDCO.
  • Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum, helping them to overcome barriers to learning.
  • Support pupils in developing independent learning and social skills.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers.
  • Contribute to the supervision of pupils during break and lunchtime as required.
  • Attend relevant meetings and training sessions to support professional development.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold the school’s policies at all times.
