Students at KES had the opportunity to use their mathematical and art skills in a series of tasks and challenges.
Working in teams, their designs were judged throughout the day by our Maths Ambassadors who assessed creativity, accuracy, teamwork, independence, communication and design.
Challenge 1 consisted of students making a 3D cube inspired by the artist Mondrian. Challenge 2 - teams were required to construct the biggest possible Sierpinksi Tetrahedron sculpture as shown in the photograph.
Students were enthusiastic about the workshop and were able to see how different subjects and skills can be used successfully together.
