Four students and a member of the teaching staff have won awards for their entries to the ARU Engineering STEM Competition run by the Chelmsford Science and Engineering Society, in association with Anglia Ruskin University.
Year 11 student, Naomi Gosling received the Major Challenge Trophy for Innovation & use of Craft Skills for her rocking elephant.
William Gardiner, also of Year 11 who entered a retro styled record player, Benjamin Jones (Sixth Form) who entered a moped jack and Georgina Fillary (Sixth Form) whose entry was an early years play table, along with Naomi, won the STEM Club Award. Roger Barnes, their Design and Technology teacher was given a certificate for setting up and running the STEM club.
KES was also given a cash prize which will be used by the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) club.
